Orthotics
An orthotic is a device designed to restore your natural foot function. Many ailments such as heel pain, knee pain and even lower back pain are caused by poor foot function. Orthotics re-align the foot and ankle bones to their neutral position, which restores natural foot function. This, in turn, helps alleviate the pain in other parts of the body.
Orthotics also provide more even weight distribution, which takes pressure off of sore spots (like the ball of the foot, corns in the toes, bunions, etc.) and they provide shock absorption.
At our office we have a new machine that digitally scans the weight bearing feet. This ensures a precise outline for custom orthotics, far surpassing the traditional foam mold method. Orthotics are very durable, and can fit into any type of shoe. Many insurance plans cover orthotics, and we also have affordable payment plans.
